Ten Things That Make My Life Easier
Just so you know, I don't think my life is easy! It is great fun, but it is not easy! But here are some things that help me survive this wild and crazy life I led!
1. Tivo-I love TIVO. It makes it very easy to watch what you want to watch, when you want to watch, without any commercials. I love that.
2. iPhone-Although I am not very techno-savvy I do love this phone! The more I learn about it, the more I love it. We used it while shopping in Beijing this summer. The phone has an app to translate money and Mr. Stockdale was able to negotiate without a translator, using the iPhone. It was so fun. Here is a picture of my man negotiating a fair market price on a chess set! The seller did not speak English. Mr. Stockdale did not speak Chinese! Gotta love it.
3. Aluminum pans-I love to double batch a recipe and put half in an aluminum pan with a plastic cover, label it, and stick it in the freezer. Oh my soul, I do love them.
4. Ziplock or Gladware Plastic Containeres-I love those reusable-until-you-lose-the-lid disposable plastic containers. They are the handiest little jewels.
5. Heated seats-We buy used vehicles and imagine my delight when I discovered the used car we bought had heated seats. Oh the joy!
6. Recipes on-line-When I feel the need to cook, I whip open my laptop and dial up a new recipe. They are usually posted with pictures (I am a vistual learner) and reviews. Can you ask for antyhing more?
7. Pre-packaged single serving Crystal Lite-I especially like this when I am traveling and trying to amp up my water intake. To avoid the boredom of gallons of water, I use the single serving Crystal Lite flavors to jazz up my water. Love it.
8. Camera on my iPhone-Who knew the many ways I would find to use that little camera? Recently I took a picture of a Rubbermaid container so I could match it exactly when I got to the store. Seriously?!?! Yeah baby!
9. Logos Software-I am a Bible study teacher. I write and teach Bible studies for MOMS. I write and study just about full-time and I bought this software and to say it has saved me 1000s of hours cannot be an overstatement (although I am known for them) and stacks and stacks of books! Love it. If you are a student of the Word of God-whether you teach God's Word or not, you would benefit greatly from this fabulous product.
10. A cheap timer-I do not mutli-task well although I appreciate those who do. I have found if I set a cheap timer and then carry it around with me, it will prompt me to change laundry, check the oven, or similar tasks that may be forgotten.
