Here are my 5 Favorite Sayings
1. Seriously.
This can work as a question, a show of disgust, or a declarative statement. That is what I call true multi-tasking. I only have to remember one word for any situation.
2. Bless your heart.
Say this one with feeling and if you are a Southern, use your drawl for emphasis. This phrase seems to work in any setting for any situation. Again, multi-tasking. Do you see a theme developing?
3. Huuuuummmm.
When I simply cannot think of any gracious way to reply to someone's personal question or inappropriate renark I say, "Huuuuuuummm." While they are wondering what in the world I mean by that I can quietly slip away. Try it. It works great!
4. I don't have a dog in this hunt.
Translation: This is none of my business!
5. Sweet Jesus!
This is a phrase I utter often in the midst of great triumph and in times of great sorrow. Simply speaking His name reminds me of His presence, His power, and His promises.
