The Commercial Appeal asked me to write an open letter to Michelle Obama and share my mother's heart with her. What would I say to the "Mother-in-chief" as she and President-elect Obama as they move their family into the White House.
As a Christian mom, the basis for the fine art of Christian mothering is found in Proverbs 31. Here the Scripture teaches that a godly woman honors her husband, cherishes her children, cares for her community and-above all-loves her Lord. This is what I shared in my open letter to the incoming First Lady, Michelle Obama.
While I doubt she will ever read the article, it is my prayer that it will impact the Mid-South readers who do for the glory of the Lord.
