Craig and I returned from Angola on Sunday evening around 5:00 pm. Needless to say we are extremely fatigued and jet-lagged. When I get my feet under me, I will post some of our experiences. God blessed and we had a wonderful time teaching pastors and church leaders how to start new churches. We taught in a city call Huambo. It is in the interior near the mountains. It was especially damaged by the civil war which just ended 4 years ago. We lived in an apartment with a family that did not speak English. Like most, they did not have running water or electricity. Even the drains had been filled with concrete when the insurgence moved on. Everything is pock marked and devastated by the war. The poverty is unspeakable, but the undeniable and unquenchable of the Spirit of the Lord in the lives of those who believe is contagious. We danced and we sang and celebrated that Jesus is alive..in America and in Angola. He changes not.
