Last weekend I spoke at the Women's Retreat for Family Life Bible Church in Conway, Ark. The retreat was held at the Ozark Conference Center. The theme of the weekend was "Mirror, Mirror. On the Wall. Jesus Fairest of Them All," a study from the book of James.
When I arrived I was whisked to my room to freshen up before I spoke. When I opened my door this is what I saw on my bed.
Someone had printed out pictures of the Baby Grands, calli graphed Scripture on the bottom of the pictures and made fridge magnets out of them! Inside the basket was a wrapped gift of 3 new books for the grand-babies. How kind.
The basket was filled with all my favorite things. Obviously someone has been carefully reading my blog and making notes of tbe things I love. How thoughtful!
A box of freshly baked cookies. My bed turned down. A spa pillow and aromatic mitts on my pillow. Seriously? This was some kind of a treat. The framed picture was drawn by one of their members and Karen Hitchcox had it framed as a gift for me. It is a part of baby shoes and says, "I have no greater joy than to know my children walk in truth." (3 John). It is exquisite. What a love gift.
This was set up on my desk. This beautiful arrangement made a lovely place for me to study. The spa sets were a gift to me! How kind! The Bible was open to the Book of James, which is what I was going to be teaching from. What a warm and welcoming group of ladies. We had a glorious time in the Lord, studying HIs Word and fellowship over a coffee bar they set up and a candy store they brought. It had decanters full of candy with bags to fill to your heart's content. It was a glorious time!
